A Special Sunday

Image
A Special Sunday at Intimate Vessel, Awka Yesterday was a truly special Sunday for me. My friend, Psient, and I went to church, and it had been quite some time since I last attended. But this time felt different. Deep in my heart, I felt it was important for me to be in church and in the presence of God. From the moment the service began, I felt peace, gratitude, and a renewed sense of purpose. The church we attended was Intimate Vessel, Awka , and the experience was powerful. The pastor taught about grace , and the message spoke deeply to me. There were also worship songs in Igbo language , which made the atmosphere even more beautiful and personal. As I stood there worshipping, I felt so grateful to God for His goodness in my life, especially in my personal journey and even in my tech journey. It reminded me that beyond the dreams, the struggles, and the work, God’s presence is still the greatest thing. After the service...

Building AI From Nigeria: A Real Day in My Life

Building AI From Nigeria: A Real Day in My Life      Some people see AI as something far away, built only in big labs with perfect electricity, fast internet, and expensive machines. But for me, building AI is happening in real life, in Nigeria, inside ordinary days filled with power issues, generator fuel, conversations about life, nature, and small moments that still push me forward. Today started differently. When I woke up, I wanted to go for my normal morning walk on the road, but it was raining, so I stayed back and continued sleeping until about 7 a.m. When I finally got up, I cleaned my room and started preparing for the day. One thing I enjoy deeply is looking at the tree and open natural space behind my house. Nature inspires me a lot. Sometimes when I look at trees, the open land, and the quietness around me, it makes me think again about human beings, life, and the connection between people and na...

The Mirror in the Machine: Our Search for Consciousness

Image
Our Search for Consciousness We are currently witnessing one of the great ironies of the modern age. As a species, we are locked in a high-stakes debate over whether Artificial Intelligence has achieved "consciousness," yet we remain fundamentally unable to define what consciousness actually is in ourselves. We are effectively looking for a ghost in the machine before we’ve even finished mapping the architecture of our own spirits. The Definition Deficit For centuries, the "Hard Problem" of consciousness has stumped neuroscientists and philosophers alike. We can track neurons firing and map the brain's response to stimuli, but we cannot explain the qualitative experience  the "redness" of a rose or the specific ache of nostalgia. Science looks for biological signatures. Philosophy looks for "qualia" (subjective experience). AI Development looks for emergent complexity. The result? We are searching for something in code that we haven't ...
